NOW AVAILABLE!
Strong Sisters, through the generous support of The Civic Canopy, has produced a Teacher’s Guide, available for free below. Teachers are encouraged to use this guide along with the Strong Sisters film to educate students about the history of elected women in Colorado.
Middle school, high school and college educators will find the film and guide useful for classes in U.S. and Colorado history, civics, government and political science, psychology, and women’s and gender studies. The guide includes information about alignment with Colorado content standards.
Please feel free to download the guide and share it with your educator friends. We have included a .pdf of the full guide, along with the separate worksheets formatted for ease of use. Some of the worksheets are in Word form so that teachers can edit the handouts and questions for age-appropriateness and for their own instructional needs.
The film is available for free on YouTube here. DVDs are $10 + $5 for shipping and handling. See Purchase the Film for more information. DVDs are also available at Libraries across the state.
